Project Monitoring

Available Practices

Just because a forest may not be ecologically ready for a harvest does not mean there isn't work to be done! Forest improvement practices can be geared to improve wildlife habitat, timber quality, or both!

Herbicide Application

  • Foliar, hack-and-squirt, & cut stump treatments available.
  • Available via contractor.

Chainsaw Treatments

  • Examples include: edge feathering, hinge cutting, midstory removal of undesirable trees, crop-tree release, etc.
  • Any such non-timber harvest practice to improve sunlight availability and residual tree quality.
  • Available via contractor.

Contracting Labor

  • We can assist in finding the right contractor for your forest improvement practices!
  • We will prepare a bid packet, advertise your work, and aid in selecting the right vendor for your job.
  • We also will monitor the project from beginning to end, ensuring contract compliance and adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
